Try visiting your local library; there are TONS of auto repair books in the nonfiction section. Just ask your friendly librarian for the call number(s). Hope this helps.

This is the official Subaru MECHANICS web page. From here you can search and download the repair and diagnostics for ANY Subaru. You need to pay a subscription fee that varies from 72 hours to a year, but once you download the pages, you keep them. There are a lot of tips as well to mysterious problems that develop on some models. Its an awesome resource that I used when I swapped out transmissions on my 97 Impreza.

North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club is a great resource to find people to repair or how to do it yourself. They have tons of info and you just need to search through the info to find what you need. If you want to find do-it-yourself info. try scoobymods. good luck.

You can try your local auto parts store for a Haynes or Chilton manual. They will both walk you through any repairs step by step.
