I can tell you how to manufacture one. Take one not so thin white paper. Fold an hibiscus red flower in it. Rub the flower by the folds of the paper so that the it is crushed between the paper and the paper becomes slightly violet. Your litmus paper is ready. Cut out strips from it. test it with lemon juice or with lime water (slaked lime water) or any acid or alkali available. I have my self done this and found that lemon juice turns it red and this red paper turns blue again when slaked lime water is put on it. An interesting project can be taken on this theme and one can investigate the pigments of all flowers
