You can use an aspirator to suck the mucous out, and you can use saline solution to loosen it. Both of these are safe regardless of age (within reason). You can get them in the baby section of the drugstore. (You can also get saline solution in other parts of the drugstore for adults and it is the EXACT same thing and may be cheaper. All it is is sterile salt water)

You can take the baby into the bathroom and run a shower to make the room very steamy to loosen the mucous.

Putting some petroleum jelly on the nostrils and upper lip helps loosen dried on mucous and prevent more from sticking.

Putting breastmilk up the nose will also loosen snot and help fight any infection. This does NOT work with formula.

Tummy time helps the nose drain.

Anything else depends o the age of the baby. If you are concerned see a doctor.

Definitely a bulb syringe and some saline drops. If that doesn't help much, call the pediatrician for a checkup.

Babies usually hate it, but bulb syringes work great to remove mucus from their noses. My baby screams when i do it, but if he has a cold, I have to do it.

You can use a suction bulb that will suck all the mucus out. It works wonderfully!! Your local pharmacy will have them.

Squirt some breastmilk up his nose. It helps. (and no I'm not kidding. It works.)

Go to your doctor and see if they can prescribe medicine.
