The sort of information you seek is rarely available for free. It is very expensive to obtain, and the manufacturers don't GIVE it away. All of the repair manuals and information services must pay a license for the copyrighted material.
You will need to order the manual from either a parts store, Amazon, BN.com,or possibly here---->

if it is ON-LINE that appeals to you, for a modest subscription fee, you can go here----->

...and have access to ALL of the repair information published for your little car. It is all very good material, professional level and includes diagnostics, repair instructions, illustrations and all diagrams, electrical and vacuum.

Good Luck

Here is your solution.

http://endwrench.com/main.php?smpid=html...

This is the official Subaru MECHANICS web page. From here you can search and download the repair and diagnostics for ANY Subaru. You need to pay a subscription fee that varies from 72 hours to a year, but once you download the pages, you keep them. There are a lot of tips as well to mysterious problems that develop on some models. Its an awesome resource that I used when I swapped out transmissions on my 97 Impreza.
