Disagreement with mom. Who is right?

I went to a wedding reception a few weeks ago; and I wore a nice dress pantyhose and heels. The dress was just above the knee; with a small slit on the side. As I was undressing my mother walked in on me and noticed I had worn just pantyhose under my dress and almost flipped. She told me the dress was too short to be worn with just pantyhose!!! It hurt my feelings. The dress was not see through and I think pantyhose are made to be worn without. The hose were sheer; but made to be worn without.

Does your mom not know how to knock!! If the only way she could have ever know was to walk in on you while you were undressing. She is wrong on two counts.

I'm assuming you mean you wore the pantyhose without panties? I know a lot of women do. It would depend on what material the dress was made out of. If you could see through the dress in the sunlight, you should have worn panties, if it was not, then I don't see what difference it would have made.

If you are under 18, your mother should have the last word on your dressing habits regardless of what you think.

If you are over 18 you can wear what you want but please respect your mother's opinon. Even when you are 50 years old your mother will still feel the need to give you advice. Also remember she is from another era when even wearing a thong (which was visable) would have been unthinkable along with not wearing panties under your hose. Today both of those things may be acceptable but not to an older person.

I agree with you. If you are going to wear pantyhose, why would you wear panties too? I wear stockings and Thai highs all the time because the pantyhose and panty thing makes no sense to me. You should try wearing stockings, they are really more comfortable than pantyhose.

Really it's none of ur moms business. If she hadn't walked in on you would she really have known, that's the question she needs to ask herself. But always remember bout the pervs in the world. But ur dress sounded long enough to me.

well now thats in the past i mean wearing sometihing under wouldnt hurt ...but not wearing something isnt a crime i think it was just one of those stupid fights moms and daughters always have for some reason

uless your mom could tell before seeing you undress there shouldn't have been a comment made. If she didn't approve something should have been said before you left the house.

wow! youre mom was wrong to hurt youre feelings but it was totaly ok that you wore that! dont worry about what ur mom said. tell her that it hurt youre feelings and you will end up hugging. trust me!
