It varies by season. More in summer less in winter, but the entire population only consists of researchers. There are no natives in anartica. Except for maybe penguins.

There is no permanent population. All the scientists there are for fixed terms.
There is agreement between all the people who go to the antarctic that they should leave nothing behind and all their rubbish is removed
