Even as an atheist I'd have to say YES, ABSOLUTELY! As long as "knowing" Him doesn't mean just reading the
Bible and accepting it as truth.
However, if the real entity comes to me and says I'm God. Naturally, I'm going to have a zillion questions for him/her/it. And if it turns out to be the Judaic-Christian God, I'm going to be just as willing to know him., but accepting the bible on blind faith is not an option for me.

God definitely exists. God resides in your heart... Temple of God. Don't stop trying to get to know him...

There is one true God and I do know Him. I still grow in grace and knowledge of His word, and learn more everyday. God bless!

If there is one, I think it would be imperative to try and know him and understand your relationship to him.
I think the "if" should be removed from your question, though.
