I had a g/f a few years ago, and we were reminiscing about school days:
In the late 70's, she went to a boarding school for a year while her parents were working abroad. while she was there she had a gym teacher who was also their live-in house mistress. she would tell the girls graphic and gory stories about how awful men were, the terrible experience of sex, the pain, debasement, humiliation.
every night she had a different story, like some sort of sexual Sheherazade. she was a closet lesbian, and had some bad experiences of sex, but her moralistic stories just made the girls more curious.
That particular G/F was into being humiliated, used and abuse. I often wondered if that teacher was the cause of her own particular sexual personality

When i was in reception we had a teacher who used to always scream at us, we were only 4 and 5, she used to terrifie all us little ones back then, plus when she was telling somebody off ( probably for no reason as she was a right cow ) she used to drag you around and make you sit on the " quiet chair " facing the wall and not be able to join in on the activities going on!
SHE WAS A B***H!!

It wasn't a teacher, but she was the dean. I missed school one day and my mom wrote a note and I had a doctors appt. Not that it was any of their business...I was scheduled for a pap and an ultrasound (I had cysts on my ovaries). Well, the day I came back, I got called into the dean's office and she completely went off the wall. She was telling me my absence was unexcused because having an abortion is inexcusable!! She didn't let me get a word in otherwise to tell her it was for a pap/ultrasound. She suspended me from school for a week and she called my mom...but she didn't tell my mom why!! We ended up having to get a lawyer and all because soon it got around school that I had an abortion (her niece was also a student)...and that witch lost her job. I carried around photos of my cysts on ovaries for months to prove that is why I was at the doctors.

One of the maths teachers at the secondary school I went to, I could never get the gist of quadratic equations, he dragged me out to the front of the class and banged my head on the blackboard, saying he was knocking some sense into me, no matter what he did I just could not do them, he hit me on the back with a pump, trapped my hands in the desk and just made things so hard for me, I saw him one Saturday while in town with my mom, she walked over the road to him, told him what she thought of his teaching attitudes and smacked him really hard over the face with her hand and whacked him with her shopping bag, funnily enough I was moved from his class the following week.

I would have to say my 9th and 10th grade english teacher! She hated everything I wrote and it was never good enough for her. I actually wrote someone elses paper and they got an A on it but when she got my paper she darn near failed it! When I told her I was doing the post secondary enrollment option and I was taking a Composition class, she looked at me and said good luck. In my college Composition class I did better than her english class and the composition teacher said I had some of the best writings in the class. She made my 9th abd 10th grade years aweful because I was never good enough of a writer for her but my Composition teachers thought I was wonderful (I had two different ones one for comp 1 and another for comp 2).

Mrs B, english teacher, and sufferer from a bi-polar mental condition, which meant you could be teachers pet one day (for no apparent reason) and a {direct quote} "Vile piece of scum" the next day (also for no apparent reason)
also Mr M, maths teacher, who was so ridiculously easy to distract, we did not learn maths for almost one whole year.....and for me, who loved maths and physics (always have, and went on to do an engineering degree) that was hell

I'm left-handed and write with the paper at a funny angle. I had one teacher who was greatly troubled by this for some reason and used to insist that I write with my paper straight, not on the huh. And then she'd moan because I couldn't keep up with dictation.

Teachers didn't make our lives hell in our school but they were very strict and didn't make school pleasant. They were too free with the strap and physical punishment which I'm sure affected everyone's work as you were scared to ask for help if you weren't sure, then you got punished for getting work wrong and no praise if you did well.
