I think women do have stronger bladders or maybe they're just bigger. Because guys have to pee all the time . Me personally the longest I can go w/o having to use the restroom (if I dont have drinks in between) 9 am to 4 pm. Another factor you have to add in is its allot easier and cleaner for guy to use the restroom. Women have to go through allot more work than men and a public restrooms can be quite scary. The thought of hovering over a filthy toilet will increase your bladders strength. So if you dont want to use the restroom you'll put it off until you get somewhere comfortable

I had a male cousin who used to visit every summer for a month. He had been visiting since he was 8 and I was 6. He stayed in my room. We showered together. We ate together.We peed together. When I got to be 14 and he was 16, I noted that his penis was much larger than mine. We were both circumcised as is the custom in our family. He would come into the bathroom to shower and not bother to pee. I could no longer pee in front of him. I took my shower and peed there. We went out for the day, had lunch together, and went to a movie. He had not peed since the night before. Then when we got home I had peed twice before the movie and after. I was brushing my teeth before bed, he came in an hurry, stood in front of the toilet, and peed for about 3 minutes. I asked him how he held it so long. He told me as he got taller, he discovered that he could hold his pee for a long time and finally for 24 hours. He only went once a day at bed time. I have never met another person, man or woman, who had such a large bladder. I would vote for the men on the basis of my cousin's bladder.

No, women generally have weaker bladders than men. The physical capacity is smaller too. Childbirth plays havoc with the muscles and its not uncommon for women to suffer a degree of leakage as they get older...;

Its usually because of the unconscious training the girls get, as already answered earlier, that they can hold for longer durations in comparison with any male. However due to a childbirth, if through the birth canal, certain injuries take place in the urethral constrictor muscles which leaves them weakened and unable to control the voiding of bladder that much longer. The duration of holding back voiding of urine continues to decrease with increasing parity (childbirths) through birth canals (only).

I might add to the Doctors answer that the condition of frequent urination can also be found in some older women and can be corrected surgically

It's a matter of classical conditioning and social archetypes. Guys don't HAVE to hold it. Girls do. I think our society models need to change. Girls should be able to "whip it out" wherever they damn well please. It's win-win!
