Why don't you do a little reading before asking a stupid question that isn't really a question, but just an uninformed opinion. Try this, it's the real truth. The war we are currently fighting has nothing to do with 9/11. It honest to god doesn't. Iraq was probably the only country in the middle east that didn't have terrorists running around the world killing innocent people. Saddam was afraid of them. He paid lip service to their causes, and might have sent a few bucks to the Palestinians, but that was about it. The US takeover of Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism and was about oil, nothing more and nothing less. 9/11 was cleverly construed in the media to be associated with Iraq. We were falsely given the impression that Iraq was a country harboring stocks of weapons of mass destruction that were to be used against the United States. It was lie. There were no weapons, and no terrorists. It was all simply well organized propaganda used by our highest elected leaders to get at the oil. I somehow don't find it coincidental that the highest offices in the land are occupied by an oil man, followed by the biggest war profiteer maybe in history. It's slimy business. I watched the news with interest this morning as Dick Cheney hugged the King of Saudi Arabia, the country where almost every 9/11 hijacker came from. They both looked genuinely happy, which of course they should be if money can buy happiness. The really terrible thing is that we do face a threat from terrorism, a threat that has escalated a thousand times because of the actions of our leaders in their pursuit of personal gain. It really is that simple. You've been taken for a ride, a costly one that's not over.

The problem is that we attacked a country that had nothing to do with the "punch in the face" we were given. We continue to allow innocent men, women, and children to die there for our "glorious cause" - the war on terror. Which, by the way, has turned Iraq into a terrorist haven. It wasn't like that before. The war needs to stop before WW3 breaks out and someone like Kim Jong Il gets trigger happy with a nuke. It's ridiculous to think that we aren't the direct reason behind the terrorists flocking into Iraq. And let's not forget - Saddam used to be our buddy years ago, and we helped train Al Queda and gave guns to Osama. We brought the punch on ourselves. With our insane greed for oil and the need to show the world that we're the greatest, like some overbearing bully, we created this mess. The problem now is, we can't get out of it and not look more foolish than we already do to the rest of the world. People are entitled to their opinion about the war, so get over it.

Right idea wrong war honey, see virtually everyone supported our war in Afghanistan because we KNEW they were supporting the terrorists by allowing them a base of operations and funding, Iraq on the other hand was actually an enemy of our enemy Al Queda and feared them since they were a secular dictatorship and not a Islamic Fundamentalist Government, we've exacerbated our terrorist problem with the Iraq war and are actually creating more terrorist than we can ever hope to kill, and as far as the line Fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here that is such BS, like the have an air force or navy to actually launch a full scale attack on our shores, that's just crap, the money spent in Iraq could have went into strengthening our intelligence apparatus and destroying cells before they could launch attacks, acquiring more Arabic trained linguistic experts and generally working proactively to stop attacks, if that happened we wouldn't see them have such a great ability too recruit for the Jihad since it wouldn't be attractive due to it's lack of success

certain... As both persons and a society, we ought to move previous the attitude of warfare and greed, to modify for the further powerful and produce the cliched yet all-major idea of "international peace" to fruition. Revolution on a individual element is so confusing although that...we adore issues to be difficulty-free, we do not favor to imagine or replace or seem for something previous what we are used to. perhaps in the destiny this can take position. perhaps not.

I'm going to ignore the part of your submission after the word "earth!"? since it's a driveling rant such as used by Herr A. Hitler with unpleasant results in the latter 1930's.
Just to address the first part : Would you prefer the opposite on a sign?
War on Earth!! Down With Peace!!

"It pisses me off when I see signs that say " stop the war! peace on earth!"?
do they honestly think that there will be peace about this war?"
Probably not. They just have this thing that some amongst us like to call "hope".
Sorry that "hope" pisses you off so much. Time to switch to decaf (no offense).

What pisses me off, is our government has had plenty of time to nip terrorism in the bud since the early 70's. But they chose to ignore it. Why, if I knew about people in the middle east that hated us and wanted to have us dead, why did'nt our gov. start then to protect America, why are they acting like they give a damn now. I have live in fear and wondered when they were going to come get us for 40 years. They have a chance to prove to America they are serious about keeping terrorist out of this country, simply by enforcing our border laws. As long as money is to be made off a body, our gov. is going to put our safety second. Do you realize how many people you look at everyday that is part of a terrorist cell, waiting for the perfect time to hit. A good movie to watch is Black Sunday w/ Bruce Dern, I have'nt seen it since the 70's, but if people could of seen the possibilities of this really happening, mabe so many people wouldn't of had to die over our gov. ignorance.
PEACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you are a wee bit naive about this war, and about Peace. We are in a situation that can not be "won" Iraq is on the verge of a civil war; not to mention that they are a Muslim nation and they do not as a culture of people embrace Democracy. We can not and will not make them a democracy. Its a loosing battle! This war is not ours to fight.
