Nixon has some memorable quotes, and so does Reagan, but what about the two presidents in the middle, Ford and Carter?

Do they have any quotes that have been remembered in the years since they held office?

I'm not looking for a list of quotes from either men, just your opinions on if you think either men said much that is quotable.

Yes, in fact Gerald Ford's quotes are listed in 97% of all middle and secondary social studies books across the nation. He was known for talking like a politician. In 1976 he said, "your mind can only define what your imagination cannot saturate."

Jimmy Carter's quotes are found in the Smithsonian Institute of Art. He commemorated that building to Nixon in 1978.

Gerald Ford turned right into a arise guy and all people beloved him. He became under no circumstances elected yet he lead the country with the help of a bothered 2 years with tremendous aplomb. regrettably, he had the stink of the total Nixon mess on him. I wasn't a huge Jimmy Carter fan. I have not something adversarial to him for my section, yet i do not imagine he became the right decision for the situations. He turned right into a nanny state democrat, and his monetary regulations were unrealistic.

Ford was seen as a placeholder or lame duck.
Not a bad guy and not a bad pres though.
Quotable? Not really.

Carter had a couple of accomplishments, he brokered/bought peace between Israel and Egypt.
Then he gave the panama canal away, brought the shah of Iran here, and presided over the Iranian hostage debacle.
He was also pres during economic doldrums.
I don't think he ever said anything that anybody
wrote down.

Not terribly quotable while in office. Carter's best know quotation was while he was running for President--quoted in Playboy.

"America did not invent human rights. In a very real sense human rights invented America."
