I see alot of questions on here about online schools and a lot of people put them down but they have never been to one.

I feel that those who are against online schools have a very superficial view of the academia. Theres no negative undertones in what I have stated, but thats usually there problem.

In my opinion, a college education is a journey and no one should knows where they may end up until the they come to a crossroads (aka, any major problems along the way)

LOL, to put it another way .... I wouldn't worry about what people have to say -- people do things differently. Everyone not going to agree but thats all apart of being human.

Hope that helps.

Just because I never attended an on-line college doesn't mean I know nothing about them. I know plenty about them.

I also know a lot about university education in general (I have a master's degree from Duke, a PhD from Berkeley and have taught at MIT and Wharton).

I don't believe that on-line universities provide the same level of education as a good brick&mortar university. But even if you could get a decent education from an on-line university, I would still recommend a real university -- because employers will not take an on-line degree seriously.

I am seriously against people who reject online if those very same people have never try the online settings.

I have obtained my first degree (BA) from Eckerd College, Florida . . . and it is fully non-residential . . . so what is the problem? Are you trying to tell me that Eckerd's degrees are inferior? Please be more reasonable . . . education is all about learning and acquisition of knowledge . . . not just going to classroom and talking with classmates . . . etc.

As a matter of fact, I am contemplating of pursuing another online degree from a very well known Russian University. The Kursk State Technical University. Why are we complaining about online settings . . . especially from American Old colleges?

Check out this good Russian University and study its approch first . . . you will notice that even well-konwn British Universities are using a similar work-based learning format similar to this Kursk State Technical University. (http://www.ics-edu.com/index.php?p=prog-wbl)

Maybe because online schools are so good that few people who go to them see a reason to complain.
