I don't know why it takes everyone else so long to cross, but since we're here, we might as well keep each other company until they all catch up...wanna go swimming?

my guess is water, as that's usually why bridges are built. And it probably takes so long to cross it because the person doesn't want to reach the other side, as that's where they'll get executed, and it will seem alot longer to cross for that same reason.
