About 9 years ago the transmission went out in my car. It was in the shop for 10 days. One of my best friends drove 50 miles out of her way everyday to pick me up and take me home from work. She was married and had a child, but insisted on helping me. I had no money to help her pay for the gas. It was winter and we actually had snow and ice on the streets during that time. I cried because of her sacrifice of time and money, and also because I had to let her help me. I'll never forget it.

well all I can think of is my x she has been my best friend all year. She has helped me with my mom which has had severe brain damage. Anytime I need a shoulder to cry on she is always there. One time I couldn't sleep and was crying all night. I called her at 6:00 am and she didn't get upset she helped me calm down. she is a wonderful friend I guess thats why im so protective of her

Let me stay at their house when I had no where to go and no job.
I ended up getting my job back for a year until I broke 5 ribs but
before that I was going nowhere fast.

hmmm... that's a good question. the first thing that comes to mind is when my best friend stood up for me against a bully - and got her butt kicked too, but she still did it.

then i think of how my friends threw a surprise party for me when i moved away...

or when they supported me when i was sad... and put up with me when i was mad.

they've done thousands of things for me, including saving my life.

i guess i'm pretty lucky.
