He went to the gas station to see if it worked.... And he also sent the guy a cell phone that he ordered off our computer!!!! Now I know that I.P addresses can be traced

Anyways what do we do?

You give him an ultimatum - either he turns himself in today and hopes that the cops, district attorney and the victim will give him leniency in punishment, fines and restitution.

Or you call the cops and they will decide what to do.

ID theft and credit card fraud are serious crimes. Your brother's life is going to get more miserable the longer he plays this game.

If he has *any* brains whatsoever, he will do the right thing.

Since you have knowledge of the problem, it is possible that you could be pulled into the prosecution if you choose to do nothing about it.

Listen, you have to report this it because of people like your brother that all the rest of us have to pay for, it's fraud, what if it was your money and credit on the line here, would you be made, Running up charges on some one else card can ruin some one by destroying there credit history it takes years to get good credit and only a blink of the eye to destroy it so do the right thing, karma will rewarded you for such Honorable actions. Please do the right thing or unfortunately you could be looked at as an accomplice to a felony and charges could be brought up on you to for not reporting it. don't do time for some one else crime.......

nicely, optimistically, she has a good attorney or public defender who can convince the choose that she did no longer do it. The law enforcement officers would not have arrested her or charged her if there wasn't sufficient evidence to take her to court docket. The DA is the guy who makes a decision if those issues get prosecuted. So, i might say the two you're leaving a bite of the story out or she is responsible.

Turn him into the police so you dont get in trouble as an accomplice or as obstructing justice. it's the only way to keep you from getting in trouble and from him getting into deeper trouble. If you are aware of a crime and do not report it, they can press charges on you as well...so call the police and turn your bro in...only real choice here,

call the police (you can be anonymous) because if you don't you could get in trouble because this is a case of stolen identity and if someone was doing this to you then you would want to know believe me
