Robin Hood was a real person. He didn't steal from the rich and give to the poor though. He lived in the early 14th century and was the head of the Pagan covens in the Sherwood Forest. He created safe-havens for people who were prosecuted by the church for their beliefs.

Robin Hood is based on the deeds and character of a real person Robin of Locksley the Locksley estate was in the Midlands area of Britain. The deeds he carried out may have been exaggerated to make a good story. That show him as an example of good winning over evil.
Jesus of Nazereth ,has also been proven to be a real historical character.Whether he was the literal son of God depends on the way you choose to believe. It is the same with the purported miracles he carried out. However,he was definitely one of the great prophets and has had an incredible positive impact on many peoples lives.
This answer is based on historical fact not pro or con any religious belief.

Robin Hood ISN'T fiction. See my reply to the post you made previous to this one. Robin Hood was likely several men rolled into one because the name Robin Hood was used at the time to denote any fugitive from the law.
I wish people would actually do their research before they start making blanket statements about how something is "false" just because it's a legend.
All legends have a basis in truth.

I find it horribly, yet fascinatingly confounding that the stereotypical believer refuses to think of their religion in the abstract. The point being made here is that, if so many people blindly believe that Robin Hood is real, without having any facts to back it up, and most everyone else says that it can't be real just because, then why can't it be the same scenario in the case of Jesus... but they're right - even Atheist scholars will back up claims that Jesus was a real person - I believe that the facts found thus far are more than adequate to back this up, just as there are a few facts that I find more than adequate to back up the claim that Robin of Locksley was real. Now, lets get down to some REAL issues of faith vs fact - Who believes in Nessie? *grins*

Robin Hood exists today. He robs from the middle class, and gives to himself. He's called Gordon Brown.

Of course Jesus is fictional, he was dreamed up by lunatics on drugs in ancient times and the bible is one of the worse novels ever produced.
