It has a short. Please unplug it immediately, as it may start a fire, and contact the maker. If it's still under warranty, they may replace it; if not, it's a flaw in their product they need to be made aware of so that other people aren't hurt.

It may not be a bad thing. On the front of your monitor is a few buttons, one labelled MENU. Open this up and look for a symbol that looks like an upside-down U with a diagonal line throught it. This is what is called a Degausser. Degaussing removes the excess static charge that builds up in the monitor. This charge will give you a minor shock, but it will also damage the hard drive over time. Once you degauss your monitor it ought to be static free for a while. If it is still shaky and shockey, turn it off and check your connections.

Good Luck and have a good day!

If the power cord has 2 prongs, try to plug it in with the prongs reversed. If the power cord plug has 2 prongs AND a grounding pin, you should check the wall outlet. Also examine the power cord to your monitor carefully to see if there is any damage to it. Lastly, get another monitor because the price of fixing one is too high these days.

You have a short in the monitor or a bad power converter. Recommend that you stop using it immediately as it could caught fire, explode, or give you a serious shock. Replace the unit asap.

sounds like it's not grounded properly. Is the electrical cord frayed? Is it plugged into a 3 prong outlet?

Don't touch it, unplug it, get it to the nearest computer shop. If you keep using it could shock you, set on fire or just simply explode. None of which is pleasant.
