What are the rules and instructions to the game Heroscape?

I got the game from a friend and he didn't have the instructions and i really need to know how to play.

each character has a game card. find that first.range is how far it can attack. attack is how many red dice a player rolls when attacking. Defance is how many blur dice a player trolls when being attacked. it is a very comfusing game. to attack say that you will and roll the assigned number of red dice. your opponent then rolls their assigned number of blue dice. if you roll 3 skulls and your opponent only rolls 2 or 1 sheild(s) then you put however many times you attackedand they didn't defend of the red chips on their character card. the life section on the card is how many red chips thay can get on their card before they lose. there are many different game mosed explained in the instructions and many ways to set up the board. You might have a hard time figuring it out without the directions but you can always make up your own versions with these rules.

Well, I couldn't find the exact rules online (shame on you Hasbro, online copies of rules should be standard practice) but the Wikipedia article does a very credible job of explaining the basics of play.
