They are both the same, along with CD+R/W it just means that one u can use over and over again and the other you can right to just once. both hold 700MB. Your program u use to burn your data, there is always setting to "Overburn" but it can damage the disc or the drive.

Get a DVD-RW drive if you don't have one. You can get a DVD-RW drive at newegg.com for $30. Thats pretty cheap. DVD-R's and +R's are MUCH cheaper per mb of data stored than cds. You can get 50 packs of DVD's on sale for about $13. A 50 pack of cd's is about $10. A 50 pack of cd's will hold about 35,000 mb of data. A 50 pack of dvd's will hold about 235,000 mb of data. 670% more data storage for 30% more money. Thats what we call "easy math".

You're stuck I guess, CD's are a pain cos you are limited to the space of 700mb data or 120min of music. It's DVD's you can "double burn" but only if you have the correct drive (4.7gb - 8gb) depending on what you are doing use a DVD-RW, though if you just doing music time to produce the double albums lol.

They ALL hold apx 700Mb, no matter what brand; that is the "standard".
If you need more space either use 2 discs, or switch to DVD which holds more. (4.5Gb for single layer)
While SOME programs will permit "overburning", this is DEFINITELY DISCOURAGED as many players will NOT play overburned discs, and you can damage your drive by doing so.
