Sounds like you have some malware. I got hit by spyaxe a few years ago, and that does exactly the same thing. The only way to deal with it is to find an antidote. Put yourie into google and see what comes up. Or you need to find a very good anti-malware program. Yourie sounds like a new one to me though, so there may not be any cures out there other than generic anti malware programs.

yes
Go to Yahoo.com
Go to Tools>>Internet Options>>select Use Current. This will make Yahoo the default. Make sure it just says Yahoo.com
If that doesn't work. Clean the spyware from your computer as follows:
Get "free" CCleaner and the Ad-Aware at download.com. Install and run these to clean your computer and get rid of spyware.
Also, you can go into msconfig (start >> Run >> type msconfig, go to startup tab, un-check undesirable programs) and get rid of programs that you don't need. Sometimes these are little spybot programs that cause pop ups. Make sure and be careful here though. Google the programs first to make sure you should remove them.
Good Luck.

Sounds like you have a "hijacker" on your computer. Since it is a type of spyware and not a virus, most virus scanners will not find and remove it. Download and run both Ad-aware SE and Skybot Seek and Destory. (You can get them both free at http://download.com ) Between them they should clear the spyware and allow you to reset the home page.

You could try the System Restore which takes you back to a time when your computer was working good. Go To:
start
programs
accessories
systems tools
system restore
This process is completely reversable. And does not remove your personal files. Just go back one checkpoint at a time until your puter is working good again.

You don't have a virus, it's a malware switcher. PCtools Spyware Doctor works real good at getting and keeping those pesky programs off your computer.
