Please, try not to tell your siblings. First you need to talk your Mom, He is very selfish to act on his feelings in the family home. It may be that your mom knows all about him and Matthew, but chooses to stay married for reasons hard for a child to comprehend. She may have agreed to a marriage involving extramarital sex. Or she may need to think aboutl financial stability. It could devastate your mom's life if your Dad leaves and she and your siblings are plunged into poverty. Some people just cannot afford a divorce and find uncomfortable compromises. Or, it may be that one of your parents is mentally ill or cannot handle single parenthood. Sorry you have to deal with some tough facts of life.

Now this is a real ‘catch 22’ situation…
I would seek advice before taking action.
If the one cheating deserves a break…
Then so be it, no action would I take.
However, if it would cause a heart ache…
I would speak to the cheating one “For God’s sake.”
Stern and in no uncertain terms I would say…
“We love you, don’t ruin our lives this way,
What God in His Wisdom has joined together…
Should remain in love and happiness forever.
So cut out the crap or I’ll give you a tight slap
And hope that both of you die of the clap”

i say turn your head the other direction...I believe, just like santa claus, that this is a secret most long term married people have that is between them. The best thing to do is stay out of it and if it comes up between the married party then so be it. Otherwise, none of your business.

I wouldn't hold my tongue, I'd first talk to my cheating parent and tell him or her how dirty they are and then talk to my cheated parent and let them talk and solve their problem

Say nothing to the aggrieved party but talk to the party concerned and explain how it makes you feel bad..and if he could stop being unfaithful?

That would be purely awful if that happened! If it were me, I'd go straight to my pastor, or anyone who isn't directly involved and tell them. If I were a child or teen and I saw this, I'd go to my grandparents.

I would confront the parent that cheated and demand that that parent tell the other.

Confront the one you saw cheating, say you are hurt and confused, and ask that it not happen again!
