My cousin gave birth in the taxi on way to hospital, the taxi driver luckily was an ex paramedic so he could help as she was on her own.

My mothers head was out, in a taxi, going around "the square" in our hometown, which is a really busy bunch of intersections!

My friend's mom gave birth in a Wal-mart parking lot. Her water broke and the contractions just started coming.. the baby was a premie but luckily it was warm outside so she survived. We naturally called 911.. and they were there for the birthing process but they couldn't move her because she was 1) a BIG woman and 2) something medical about the baby having to born with her in a certain position..
interesting question. gave me an opportunity to share that story.

My ex boyfriend was born in the back of a taxi in chicago.
My aunt gave birth to all four of her kids in route to the hospital (we have them fast in this family).

wow, that would be crazy! I personally was always afraid of that- especially since I worked up until the day before my due date! However, I was one week overdue exactly, and went into labor at home at 1:30am... and made it to the hospital in plenty of time- was there 19 hrs before I finally had a baby c-section!

No, my labors were 6 and 10 hours. Plenty of time to get to the hospital. But still not too long!

yea my aunt gave birth on the highway going to the hospital... my whole family has some kindve medical experience so she was ok... but they rushed her to the hospital asap... but yea i hear people giving birth crazy places all the time
