I think it depends on your age, your health and your gyno history. Women who have had certain infections (i.e. chlamydia, endometriosis or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease - PID) will have a harder time conceiving than those who haven't. I didn't even really make it off the pill before I became pregnant! I was 20 years old, missed a pill and became pregnant immediately. Even my local family planning clinic was shocked and said that this indicated that I was very, very fertile! I was as sick as a dog with 'morning' sickness (which they said indicated that the pregnancy was pretty well embedded!) and went on to give birth to a large, healthy child the day after my 21st birthday. That child is now 19 years old and a strapping 6ft 2ins tall! :)
Age is an important factor in pregnancy but these days, I understand that sperm production levels are lower and environmental factors affect the quality of the sperm as well as the eggs. So if you wish to become pregnant, be prepared to be patient...although it sounds to me as though you will be having some news to celebrate pretty soon!
If so, congratulations! If not, do not give up hope. I hear it can take up to 2 years to become pregnant so if you do not become pregnant immediately:
Under age 35: Try for 2 years before seeking help;
Over age 35: Give it a year and then go seek help.
The only reason they tell over 35s to give it less time is because the sooner you get investigations, the better because that big 'ole clock is ticking away and your eggs ain't going to be improving while you age...
Whatever your situation is, if you are trying for a baby, I wish you the best of luck conceiving.

I took the pill for 6.5 years, quit it to have a baby, and after I quit it I didn't have a period for 6 weeks, then I had a period and I got pregnant in that cycle, so you can tell it took me 2 months but I actually had only one cycle and there's where I got pregnant.
Everyone is different, you just have to give your body a chance to get back to normal because without the pill your body has to start working on its own, it might take you about 3 cycles for your body to go back to normal, give it time, your cycle without the pill is completely different that when you are on the pill.

Life and conception are strange. For some, missing just one pill accidentally can lead to pregnancy; yet others when they actually want to get pregnant seem to have difficulty. So the answer to your question is rather like how long is a piece of string? Lets hope that the two weeks late might be a suggestion of pregnancy. If not, don't get stressed, it can take many months. Good luck.

The average couple takes about 8 months of trying after coming off the pill. The hormones can actually take a couple of months to leave your system, so you may not ovulate right away.
It took us 1 1/2 years though

the certainty that to procure pregnant in the 1st month says there are wonderful odds which you would be pregnant till now too long. you could desire to remember that each and each month is somewhat a 'gamble' with the point to communicate. If it takes some months, you do no longer could desire to panic. it may desire to easily be 'undesirable success' yet no longer mean that something is rather incorrect. right that's my history: being pregnant #a million - have been given pregnant in first month - led to miscarriage. being pregnant #2 - have been given pregnant in first month - led to miscarriage. being pregnant #3 - have been given pregnant in third month - healthful delivery. being pregnant #4 - It took 7 months!! i became freaking out. yet, each and every thing became nice and that i stressful for no longer something. It purely took somewhat longer for no particular reason. I had a healthful delivery. being pregnant #6 - have been given pregnant in 1st month - healthful delivery being pregnant #7 - have been given pregnant in 4th month and am at present 14 weeks. So, such as you - I of course CAN get pregnant somewhat surely, yet for regardless of reason my son purely took 7 months to come back alongside. I did have generally happening classes, yet once you're ovulating each and each month it is going to no longer make that plenty differenct (except you're attempting to time intercourse right down to the day!) So, my advice is to easily *attempt* to loosen up, have intercourse each and every 2-3 days throughout the time of your cycle, and it will take place whilst it happens. As for calculating the due date - which could be difficult in the experience that your cycle isn't generally happening. A due date calculator will pop out longer in the experience that your classes are longer, yet all which could do is supply you a wager at your toddler's due date besides (this is each and all the scientific expert can do, the two). the final approach for dating a being pregnant is probably ultrasound - and it rather is nonetheless no longer completely precise. yet in an early ultrasound they are in a position to this point the dimensions of the toddler and have a good theory how a approaches alongside this is. attempt and unfasten up - stressful won't help you in any respect and could desire to probably harm the full technique.

Nearly 2 years for me.
It did take me a while for my cycles to settle down though. It can (apparently) take up to 18 months for your hormones to level out and for you to start ovulating regularly again, although I do know of women who've conceived immediately after coming off the pill so I guess we're all different.
Try charting your temperatures or using Ovulation Predictor Kits to see if you are ovulating. Get hold of a copy of "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Wechsler - this book really is the "Bible" of fertility and has everything you need to know.

After I came off the pill I had one normal period then very luckily got pregnant. They say that because of your hormones you are more fertile during the first three months after coming off the pill.

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/IvESk
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.
