no they don't and if they get their way, you think those people were destroyed by sadam............the next dictator will make him look like an angel. we still have a presence in japan and around most of the world. we need to stay, but most of all we need to put our foot down about the politicians running this war. turn it over to the generals who are there and know the strategy. these idiot women dems (and men) just amaze me with their stupidity. just take a moment and imagine any one of us were over there, risking life and limb, and hearing the negative media destroy all the good that we are trying to accomplish. i feel so sorry for all our military because of CNN, MSNBC etc. i'm so proud of them and pray daily for them and their families.
THEY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN IN THIS HOME, NOR SHOULD THEY BE IN ANY HOME IN THE US THAT ENJOYS OUR FREEDOM.
i'm ashamed of the media and they are the ones that should pay for crimes of verbal abuse.

You are swallowing the media hype hook, line, and sinker.
We had a golden opportunity after the fall of Saddam to create peace and stability in Iraq. The Iraqi people were looking to us for leadership. But Bush never bothered to work out a realistic post-combat strategy for rebuilding Iraq. Even he admits mistakes were made. Bush wasn't listening to qualified experts who recommended more troops, for example, he was listening to God, or so he believed. Apparently he was also listening to the military industrial complex, best exemplified by Halliburton.
As a liberal, my feeling is that neocons broke it, but nonetheless the US as a whole is still responsible for fixing it. We cannot do this alone. Hatred spreads every day -- and it is primarily hatred of the US. We need to appeal to the United Nations for an international consensus on how to restabilize the area, which is in everyone's best interest. Otherwise the hatred will spread forever. Of course, the media tells us that the UN is unpopular. I assume you've swallowed that one too.
Money and power is what has risen to the top in the United States, and with that a disgusting attitude of entitlement. We may be the richest, and maybe even the most powerful nation on earth, but we do not hold any moral high ground, and we cannot keep bullying the other contries and peoples of the world trying to get them to do things our way. Greed and disrespect are not the way forward here.
You seem to be of the mold that believes a whole pack of convenient lies about so-called conservative values. I don't know where to begin to bring you back around to simple human decency and common sense. You could actually do this for yourself, but you would have to have a little humility and a little respect for the viewpoints of others. But I'm sure you won't be able to get past your own sense of self-righteousness long enough to bother.
The US is being deliberately polarized. A house divided cannot stand. You conservatives don't seem to understand that the dangers faced by our country are faced by all of us together.

The war was so poorly planed and managed that significant reduction in current violence any time soon is unlikely. The priority now is to figure out how to get troops home and not how to build utopian like society in Iraq. Democrats are left with tough task of reassesing and cleaning Iraqi mass just good enough so that troops can come home. Obviously the question is meant to put down and generalize 'liberals' much like people who say Bush is 'evil.'

Victory??? what are you talking about???
when iraqi pple was waiting for the liberation, they felt in another horrible chaos. The one produced by the poor USA president, that thinks that is GOD and the owner of the truth.
He left an excellent opportunity to put part of the arab world from his side, and that would have happened if he wouls act in other way instead as he ordered his soldiers.
While Bush be the USA president.....nothing good can happens to the world

no, it's just you...and a few of your mentors like rush, o'reilly, and coulter...what we are sick of (and this goes for MOST of the american people) is incompetence at the top of the chain of command, the throwing away of american lives in a war that was justified by one lie after another, and initiated for one reason and one reason only...to ensure bush's re-election in '04! we are tired of being lied to over and over and over as to why we are there, how things are going, how long it will take, how much it will cost, and what effect this whole misadventure will actually have on our security...

It's just you and the other neo-con puppets who parrot the party line because it's easier than thinking up something original all on their own.
