At any given time during the day and sometimes night, he gets what he calls "episodes". Anything can trigger it, like a word or smell and he gets very nauseated and lightheaded and flushed.
Others around him for example at work see him turning pale and looking "sick" . It lasts about 5-10 min and then he is ok. What could these "episodes"be?

Get him to a doctor first, to rule out medical causes. If nothing medical is found, they could be panic attacks, which are disturbing, but not life-threatening.

This is something for a doctor to evaluate. Make him go. Could be a precursor to migranes, or panic attacks.

If he get these symptoms why hasn't he seen a doctor..Get an appointment first thing MONDAY MORNING!

sounds like disease related innappropriate releases of epinepherin or other endocrin related dysfunction, how long has he suffered it to happen without diagnosing?, see your dr. stat
