I'm a mother of two daughters and would love to have a son next. What kind of diet should be taken specifically. Is that the time of ovulation always works to concieve a boy?

The Shettles method says that if you want a boy, time sex as close as possible to ovulation. The theory is that "girl" sperm are slow but strong and "boy sperm" are quick but weak. Having sex as close as possible to ovulation means the speedy boy sperm get to the egg first. If you have sex several days before ovulation, the theory is that the weak boy sperm have died out, and a girl is more likely.

People who want a boy can also try to modify their diets. I think you want to avoid an acid diet if you want a boy, but I'm not sure. Search under gender selection and diet and you'll find out.

Finally, there is always the medical technique of spinning the sperm in a centrifuge and then having an IUI performed by your doctor. The "girl" sperm are larger and heavier than the boy sperm, so the two separate. This is pricey.

There are no guarantees, of course. Everybody has the baby they are supposed to get, no matter what.

If you’re trying to conceive a boy, remember that chance is on your side. Statistically speaking, there are 51 boys born for every 49 girls. Since male infants are biologically more fragile, the higher conception rate appears to be nature’s way of ensuring an even sex distribution.

If you’ve already given birth to one or more daughters, you may have heard the old wives tale that you’re destined to have children of just one gender. However, this is false. If you have three children, the odds of having the same gender are just 25%. If you have four children, that number drops to 12.5%.

While many people insist that the only thing that matters is giving birth to a healthy child, one recent survey (http://www.parenthood.com/articles.html?article_id=2707) of expectant mothers and fathers found that almost 80% confessed to a preference for one either a son or a daughter. In fact, nearly 84% of parents who decided to have an ultrasound to determine the baby’s gender said dealing with any potential disappointment before the birth was a significant factor in their decision.

Typically, men express a preference for sons, while women often have a greater desire for daughters. But, it’s not uncommon for couples who already have a child of one gender to wish for the opposite gender on the second pregnancy to create a more “balanced” family.

Look up the Chinese Lunar Calendar- see if it's acurate for your girls, and then try that for a boy. It goes by when you conceived your baby with your age... remember it's not when the baby was born... just the month conceived. It was right on for me- I looked at it after I had my son, and it said I was going to have a boy- so not sure how right it is for ppl, but it was correct for myself. I'd like to try for a girl next :) But I am very thankful for a healthy baby- I'm sure you'll feel the same no matter what the sex.

girl sperm take longer to mature. so stay busy starting a few days before ovulation, and then the girls dont have as much time to mature and keep up with the boys.

Not fool proof but it will increase your odds. (thats advice from mom of three boys, we had to stay busy just to get pregnant, I'm not an easy target)

Look it up on the internet, I can remember if male sperm prefer slightly acidic or basic conditions. Douching can encoutage one or the other.

Is there a chance that your husband works with electronic equipment? If your husband is exposed to Infra-Red, he will only produce male sperm. If he's exposed to RF (Radio Frequencies) emissions, he will only produce female sperm. My husband worked with avionic equipment for years in the military, and was exposed to Radio Frequency all that time. We had two girls in those years.

The effects of RF are not permanent. The effects of Infra-Red might be permanent, but I'm not sure. I am NOT advising you to get infra-red lights or anything like that. I don't even know how the Infra-Red equipment works. I'm just saying that if he works with electronic gear, this may be the culprit.

UMM u have noo control over what the sex of your child is going to be. Just be happy that God/Allah gives you a nice, healthy baby. If you have a girl again, no problem. I think it's kind of sick and some people think it's sooo necessary to have a boy, even if it's just one. It kind of makes girls sound like dirt. But just pray that u have a boy if you really want one.

Good luck!

it is said you can tilt the odds by eating lots of walnuts and other "tree nuts" not peanuts
