Most of them are "free" based on your completing a certain minimum number (usually three) offers from various other companies they're advertising for. Which, of course, winds up costing you more than if you had just straight out bought the boots or the iPod. If the "FREE" has an asterisk, then by all means...read the small print.

Yes.They are spams. The spam may be spread through many ways…! Sometimes spam may be due to viruses or spyware. Many hours are wasted due to spam email. However, by taking simple precautions while giving out your email and installing updated free software, you can prevent spam. More info available at

They are promising you something FREE, but in reality you have to respond to numerous ads that will cost you money before you qualify. I've never known anyone to actually qualify and get their free gift. It's a marketing ploy. Not a real scam, but not what it seems either.
Oh yeah: You also will be added to their mailing lists for the rest of your life and your address will be sold to others!

Your email will get spammed-do not even click on the link. I tried it once just to see what would happen and immediately started getting around 100 spam messages per day.

You have to fill out a survey meant to gather info about you--the survey takes forever and I only made it about halfway through and got hit with so muce spam and spyware I had to have my computer fixed by a pro--no "free" product is worth that.

Usually they ask you complete so much stuff that people quit half way through... I do not know of anyone who actually received anything as promised. I suspect that some ONE must have but I don't think it is worth the effort.
have fun

They're spam, and/or meant to harvest your e-mail address to send you more spam. Ignore them.
