radio loses power...wipers will not work...heater motor a no go...and the brake warning lite comes on. then after a while you can shut the engine off and turn it back on and all is normal.
any suggestions.....

Friend the car is old and is asking you to put it out of its misurey (that means junk it ) time to get a new car or at least a younger one....

Sounds like a relay going bad under the hood. Find the one or ones that specifically address those issues and on the next freezing morning just try swapping one out for another relay that is not necessary at the moment (headlamp/taillamp).

Intermittent electrical problems are almost impossible to diagnose. Get it to the mechanic some night when the temps are predicted to hit around freezing, and let them have a look while the problem is manifesting itself. I would even venture a guess why it's doing what it's doing, it seems to defy logic.
