I've played both. I gotta say San Andreas because the storyline is longer and more detail. Characters are voiced by the right people, and many other good things.

I liked San Andreas a lot better - didn't really care for the gangster angle but the story was good. I liked how you could upgrade your stamina, health and driving/motorcycle skill just by doing those things - something vice city could have used big time. I liked the addition of climbing and swimming in SA also. Big sell for me was being able to traverse the entire map with no loading screens!

San Andreas is better. The length is what does it for me. Not too many things really added although the girlfriend thing is kinda nice once you see the point to them.

Definately San Andreas you go in the country and have races in the woods and u have two player mode in different scenarios.

I thought the story and setting of Vice City was the best yet. I didn't feel any sympathy for CJ in SA - I just didn't care if he won or not, and that was a negative for me. But technically and playability wise SA was better.

vice city has a better setting-80's miami,and characters-tommy verceti but gameplay and graphics i got to give to SA
