Sine curve can have two meanings. One is the graph of the sine function. Second one - ups and downs or fluctauations in someone's moods/fortune/life (sine curve first goes up, and then comes down, and then goes up, and so on. I hope it is helpful.

The graph of sine x against angle x. When plotted from zero to 360 degrees a symetrical graph is formed, where the positive and negative sections of the graph are equal in amplitude and area. It is the shape (called a sinewave) displayed on an oscilloscope when fed by a pure tone (e.g., some one whistling into a microphone connected to the oscilloscope) or by the output of an AC generator also when viewed on an oscilloscope.

It is simply the sine function, plotted out as a graph. SIN(x) on a computer, or SIN on a calculator, usually. Just the generic trigonometry function. It looks like a wave when you plot it, with an amplitude of 1, and a period of 2 x pi.

Isn't that just the sine function?
