A religious fanatic or a hardcore atheist?

Omg baby, this is way too funny. But in my opinion, I think the religious fanatic would be entirely more dangerous. Why? Because atheist dont press what they believe on you and they dont have big "bibles" to throw at you when you have sinned, and i know that when they get together in mass congregations they tend to jump around, fling their hands everywhere, reach for the sky and start screaming in tongue. And they can be so hyporitical, atheists just keep to themselves most the time. Others just run around and will not shut up.

A hardcore atheist cannot be presumed to do anything other than tying up the courts' time on issues which may or may not be important. Many people called atheists are argued as not being as such, and leaders that were atheists are anamolous, so other hardcore atheists cannot logically be contended as being inherently more dangerous than religious fanatics. Religious fanatics are more dangerous. The evidence is apparent enough.

It would depend on the person. Jerry Fallwell is a religious fanatic, but he's anything but "dangerous"; Osama Bin Laden is also a religious fanatic and is willing to murder for his beliefs. Stalin was a hardcore atheist and murdered millions, but Hume was also a hardcore atheist and merely documented his views. The bottom line: you have dangerous religious fanatics and dangerous atheists. Who's to say on average which is more dangerous?

Hmm...Interesting question, and the answer of course depends on where you stand. Many moderate religious folk might say that a hardcore atheist is dangerous to their way of life, especially if they attain power, as the fear might be that they'd implement legislation to marginalise religious practices. But for my (admittedly atheistic) money, religious fanatics are more personally motivated towards acts that bring danger to human beings.

I mean...what'd be the thought proces for an atheist suicide bomber.
"I must kill myself, and as many other people as I can."
"Really? Why's that then?"
"To show that No God is angry with these religious fools!"
"A...ha....you haven't thought this through, have ya?"

Technically, atheists can still get extreme about causes - I daresay there are atheists among the extreme animal liberation organisations, for instance - but if you don't think you have the approval of an all-powerful deity to back you up, it gets harder to hate and to hurt people.
