I didn't know they banned books here. I think that's terrible because there are several other things that need to be banned besides some knowledgeable books.

It's lunacy, why would anyone want to ban a book, the written word is 1 of our greatest achievements.

I think it depends on the book. If it's a book like Harry Potter (which some libraries were planning on!), then it's not right, simply because it has words that go against people's religion and stuff like that here and there. If it's a book like on my friend's classmate brought in (a children's book on people killing rabbits, it was called Bunny Suicide or something like that) and features disturbing images, etc etc etc, then, it's fine.

People who try to ban books are the same people who get offended by "merry christmas". Everybody just calm down and let people read whatever the hell they want, right?

I am sure glad that they didn't ban Eats Shoots and Leaves. It aimed to tell people that you DO NOT NEED AN APOSTROPHE when you are pluralising something. The plural of book is books, NOT BOOK'S.
Only greengrocers use an apostrophe to pluralise things.

I'm against it. You can't control people by controlling information. People are the way they are regardless of the books they read. Just knowing about evil things and ideas won't make you evil if you have the character to make good decisions.

I think it's ridiculous!
If in America we have the freedom of speech than why not the freedom to read books?
I think the reader should be able to read a book and he/she decide or not if they find it inappropriate or they don't like it.
You shouldnt shun others to make them believe in the same things you believe in.
