Say they got loose. Would you say they are vicious. I am not saying I feel this way, just taking a survey. If you could perhaps explain your reasoning, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

There are no dogs that are born vicious. They are taught to be vicious by wicked people who train them to be mean, or people who allow them to be unsociable. Many people think they can treat a dog any way, and it will be fine. If you are a child, and you poke a stick through the fence at a dog every day, and provoke it to react...if that dog ever gets loose, and sees it's provoker, it will attack. Domesticated, or not, an animal is still an animal. I have owned Pit Bulls, Boxers, Labs, Bull Dogs, Dobermans, Australian Shepherds, Chows, and many more. A dog is only vicious if you provoke it. or teach it to be vicious. A dog is also given power by the person who fears it. The saying, "a dog can smell your fear" is very true. If you make it clear that you are the leader, a dog will leave you alone. Making it clear, does not mean, hitting or kicking the dog, or raising your voice at it, either.

hThey, along with pit bulls have gained a reputation for violent behavior, I'm afraid. Whether deserved or not, there is a negative connotation associated with the social behavior of both types of dogs. I personally don't hold fears of dogs.

I pee myself whenever I see a bulldog, because I know they are mere seconds from totally losing it and eating a child or two. There is a reason why so many drug dealers have bulldogs and pitdogs
