what is bad about the endoplasmic reticulum?

There isn't anything bad about endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The ER is used to aid in the production of protiens when covered with ribosomes. Without ribosomes it is just a passageway.

Endoplasmic reticulum Studdede with ribosomes are called Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum And ER having Smooth surface is called Smooth Endosplasmic Reticulum.

it's the tube like passage way with ribosomes stuck to it that produce proteins. its like a highways system in both animal and plant cells.
