Soon to be mom. wondering if you can mix the formula in a collapsible liner bottle? I have the avent plastic liner system. seems like i need to mix first, then fill bottle. Will it mix properly in the liner. do i mix prior to squeezing the air out or after. Thanks for your help.

You can mix. Along with breast feeding I used bottles because i was not producing enough for my greedy babies. They work out just fine.

I loved the disposable bottle liners! If you put the powder in first it seems to shake up better ( before you let the air out). But you will need to measure the water in seperately since the powder on the bottom will throw off your measurements with the lined numbers on the side.

my sister has been mixing it in the bottle, she puts the water in and then when she is ready to feed him, she puts in the powder and shakes it up, she too, uses the liners. i believe she leaves the little tabs at the top on, though, to help hold the liner in place (there are two tabs on the brand she buys, and they say to remove them) She squeezes the air out after (it makes it easier to shake).

I thought you just put the formula and the water in the pouch, mix it up nice, let out the air, and stick it in the bottle....

Iam sure you can find a way to simplify it. I cant imagine you really have to mix it in a separate container.

I used collapsable bottles too. As long as you add the powder then shake it immediately after screwing the cap back on it should be fine.
