I miss those days. Things were a lot less confusing, and neater, when there were separate Earths.
Look at what Marvel is doing-- just when DC has decided to drop the parallel earths concept, what do they do? They pick up the concept of a 'mainstream' Earth, and it even has a number!!!! Earth 616.
(Can YOU say, Earth one...? I bet you can!)
So, great ideas get recycled and they only get dropped when artists' and writers' imaginations are so limited that they can't thhinlg of anything new to say about them.
BTW, the Freedom Fighters were originally from Earth X, where the Nazi's won.

Yes lots of us miss it but it did get kind of confusing, can you tell me which earth the Freedom Fighters originally hailed from?( I cant remember but kudos if you can.) This is why DC had the original crisis and the stories have gotten better with the single continuity.
