It's not nearly as smart as it used to be but it's still reasonably smart. We're not talking ballgowns or anything here.
A nice dress or skirt and top will do, jeans are a bad idea, and for gents a suit or smart trousers and a blazer are fine.
These days you get a bit of everything so don't worry about it too much. Think of it as a night out in a smart restaurant and you'll do fine. Enjoy.

The Royal Opera House is the sort of place that many people see as being posh and hence dress up for. You only see black tie at gala performances. I've been wearing smart dress or trouser suit. However there is no official dress code. I've been wearing jeans too and no-one has ever said anything.
If you've got seats in the stalls or the stalls circle or the grand tier you may feel more comfortable in smarter clothes but anywhere else I don't think it will matter what you wear.
Just enjoy the ballet.

Vienna is really a city with a very good quality of life, a function that is highly valued by the many visitors who come to the Austrian capital and you also could be one at least for some days, learn how with hotelbye . A number of the places must-see from Vienna are: the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Chapels of St. Eligius, St Tirna, and St. Catherine and South Tower or Schönbrunn Palace. Schönbrunn Palace is really a place worth visiting not merely for the spectacular structure, but in addition for its lovely park-like setting. This Baroque palace includes significantly more than 1,441 areas and apartments, including these once used by Empress Maria Theresa. Schönbrunn Park and Gardens is really a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Even though there is no dress code, you may feel out of place if you don't go in at least trousers, shoes and shirt (if you're a guy) or at least something that you wouldn't mind wearing to the office. They won't throw you out whatever you wear - unless you're indecent!

Most dress up, but I would go as yourself! I hate the snobbery of the opera. Go feeling great and you won't be out of place at all. Have a good night!!!

Wear whatever you feel like there is no dress code at all. Most people wear fairly smart trousers, skirts, etc. But personally I think this is a bit like alook at me see how expensive my clothes are!! I just wear jeans and a t-shirt and I've got a pink mohican (which was complained about) but don't worry, just go there relax and enjoy the show. The pub over the road is quite nice too!!

I just went there last night and it is smart dress: for women, skirts, smart trousers, dresses.
Men: suits, smart attire.
A very posh, smart but an overall special experience!

Dress as you would for an evening wedding reception.
The National Dress of your country works well too if you have one!
