Buy something for someone else in a poor country through Oxfam or another charity. It is a very worthwhile thing to do. You will fell good for helping someone who isn't well off and the person who has everything will feel good too. Believe me it works.

Depends on age of person and also their relationship to you. By you can always find un-usual gifts at sites that specialise in Pamper days/ Activity days etc - i sent my husband on a Birds of Prey day - he was over the moon with the experience! The links below are of two sites that i have used in the past when stuck for gift Ideas

It may sound boring but go for books. Have a look at this person's possessions for a good idea. It'll give you an idea of what their interests are. It'll look as though you've tried to buy them something they will actually like.

Sponsor them a dolphin or a donkey. Take them to an orphanage and get them to show some humility and treat the kids to something special.
Take them to a classical concert - if they don't like classical music it's about time they did....

Make him/her something that he does not have. But make it from scratch. For example. I love Jerusalem. So if somebody brought me a picture of the city I would love them to death. Or if they have a favorite team. buy them tickets. or a favorite type of music. play if for them.
option 2. offer gifts of service. back message, foot message, a good meal etc..

If they have everything that can be bought or can afford anything that can be bought...give them something money can't buy - something from the heart, something made with your own hands!
