High School Musical 2: Sing It All or Nothing! is the sequel to the hit Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical, and is due to be released in the summer of 2007.[1] The plot will revolve around the original film's characters as they organize a talent show at the local golf and country club to which Sharpay, Ryan, and their family belong and where Troy has a summer job as a lifeguard. All of the original film's cast members will return,also new characters and there will be new music and choreography by director Kenny Ortega. A soundtrack CD will be released the week before the film airs.
The movie will begin production immediately after Zac Efron finishes Hairspray.[2] As of October 2006, the film's release date and running time have not been confirmed.
A teaser trailer was released during The Cheetah Girls 2006 tour. The trailer showed scenes from the first film and the logo said High School Musical and a "2" appeared next to the word "Musical". The trailer was first made publically available on the DVD release of Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior.
Bill Borden, producer of High School Musical, has said that High School Musical was originally planned as a three-part telefilm.
