i have a retractable usb and it works great. have been using it for the past 6 months now and not much of a dust collection. i would say go for the one which gets you a better deal.

No, retractable USB devices are the only things on the earth that do not collect dust because they coat them with with anti-dust magic spray that only works on USB devices.

the dust seems like a valid concern over a LONG period of time. i would go for the one with the cap though.. but if you lose the cap you can have the same issue with dust.

Caps are good idea. But I dont recommend leaving them plugged into a usb port. I had one quit working when i left it plugged into the computer.

if theres not much difference in the price get the caped one
