period 2 is reactive period13 is less reactive period 18 is not eactive period 17 is very reactive 16 is reactive 15 is less reactive what about 14 and am i right please help me out

Period 1 is very reactie because it wants to give away the 1 e- in the outer ring. Period 2 is slightly less reactive it has 2 e-(electrons) to give away. Period 3 is slightly less reactive with 3e- to give away. Period 4 kind of shares. Period 18 is inert, no reaction. Period 17 is very reactive, it only takes 1 e- to fill that outer ring. Period 16 is slightly less reactive taking 2 e- to fill the outer ring.Period 15 is slightly less reactive taking 3 electrons to fill the outer ring. All atoms want to get that outer ring full. The metals do it by giving away e- and the nonmetals do it by taking e-.

Easiest way to remember is to start at both left and right sides of the table. Skip the noble gasses since they don't react in normal situations (only extremes of temp and press).

groups 1 & 17 are highly reactive
groups 2 & 16 are reactive
groups 13 & 15 are less reactive
group 14 is less reactive
