I don't see what is wrong with being really into sports. Some people are just athletic and competitive and that is their passion just as others may be passionate about law or medicine. There are a lot of people that would love to be out there but don't have the talent. It is a gift...I'm not sure what the problem is whether you are white, black, etc. I LOVE football and I am a very white girl so I think it transcends race! Just my opinion!

During slavery, blacks were bread to be bigger and stronger so they had more value as workers. In more recent times, blacks didn't have the opportunities for school and employment that whites did. Their only chance for prosperity was to excel in sports. Today I feel the tables have changed. I feel blacks have nearly the same opportunities as whites. I say nearly because it is hard to change everyones way of thinking. Today you see people of all races into just about everything, be it sports, the workplace, and politics. You still have a larger number of blacks in sports, and I think a lot of that is they still have an edge on strength and endurance, however other races have shown the ability to compete at the highest level. It is hard for a lot of people to shed old stereotype's. I however to hold hope for us. By the way, I am white. I have many friends of different race. We all share several of the same interest and beliefs, the biggest is, we value each other from the inside out, not outside in.

NO they aren't in it "TOO MUCH"! They have every right to play in sports as any other American! They happen to play better than a large percentage of white players. I am white, but I have no bias toward either race. We're all Americans and we all have the freedom to play in whatever sport we so choose.

im not tryin to be racist but because we are natuarlly more athletically gifted. black people tend to have more fast twitch muscle fibers which is good for short distance running, and jumping. Hence "football" and "Basketball"

you've something adverse to us individuals and that's stressful. They kick that ball once in a lengthy time period so as that has something to do with it. i wager we basically needed to be diverse. And we call "football" football. to positioned it in less demanding words for dummies like you: because we may be able to.

Ok first of all let me make it clear that I am NOT degrading black men but black men are good at 2 things sports and entertainment industry. If a black man wants to make money that's where they usually go. They are way better than white men in those 2 fields. Intellectually though the white man has the upper hand so that's where you will find a majority of white people as CEOs and so on.

i have actually wondered the same thing myself. I think 90 percent of black-americans are born with a basketball in their hand. And half of them can't play. They just think they can.
