Okay, so we've been friend for two years and she's really funny and is a nice person, but lately she's been acting really weird. At school she tells people random facts about everything even when they don't care, and she laughs really loud at things that aren't even that funny. Plus she's started stop caring what she looks like. She hunches over, she wears her grandmas clothes, and she doesn't brush her hair! I'm not willing to give her up as a friend because of her apperance, but it worries me! She's not fun to hang around with anymore! What should I do?

She sounds like a blast. You sound boring.

Seriously. It sounds like she couldn't care less about what other people think of her and is having fun being herself.

I do those kinds of things and I'm hilarious.

EDIT: Having read some of the other answers... How old are you people? The sooner you lose the high school mentality the sooner you will be more apt to be a socially successful person.

Sounds like your friend has just had a maturity growth spurt. Grow up.

Sounds like your friend needs help. Something is happening, either at home or in her own mind, that is causing her to behave in this way. Help her by urging her to go see a good trained counselor. She need to talk about this, get evaluated, and have some support so she can find her way back to a happy normal life.

As her friend, confront her--ask what has happened, or what is wrong? She sounds like she is dealing with a major depression and trying to hide it. She needs someone like you to care enough to not ignore the fact she has changed so much.

you should ask her about it. tell her that you have noticed a change in her behavoir and its starting to scare you. ask her why shes like this. and if she just wants to be like that tell her you support her but if its somethign deeper like a personal problem. then tell her you will help. just makes sure that she knows she can trust you and that you are really there for her no matter what.
