I'm not sure what they are going to ask you but I'm sure they will be looking for someone who is unique. So be yourself and show them the real you. Dont' be afraid of doing something different to stand out. Good luck!

What directors look for when they are auditioning is who would be best to play the character's part. It would help if you know the character that you want to be. If you don't know, then be prepared for anything.
When they are asking you questions try not to be nerves, it is like a job interview. Also, don't sound all like i am the best. Remember to be your self, and act your part as if you were that character. I really hope you get, but remember if you don't there is always another opportunity. :)

I've been to hundreds of auditions and I can tell you that much of the time the director doesn't know what he wants, but he'll know it when he sees it. Plus at a professional audition usually the director isn't there. Do what YOU think is right. If they ask for something else, do your best to give it to them. ALWAYS follow your instincts.

OK i have taken a few theater classes and been in multiply plays. what i have been told and seen is that the director will look to see if you can be someone elts besides yourself. like if he told you to be an old lady with a funny accent you should be able to do it with all seriousness but also make it look good, when i say seriousness i don't mean don't have any fun with it but be yourself and be RESPECTFUL!!!i cant say that enough people don't realize that respecting adults will get you farther then you realize. and it also would be agood idea to speak clearly and remember first impressions dont happen once you get on the stage but they happen emidiatly when you walk thru the door.

They will be looking for a boy person that can BE the character they are playing. You have to imagine yourself as him, man. Close your eyes and let yourslef drift in to the atmosphere and the personality of the character you are playing. That will help you look more like the character. Then you have to speak clearly. You don't have to do it loudly, but just clearly. Good luck on your audition

I'm 14 and go to Douglas Anderson (Arts Highschoo) for theater. I have been in countless auditions for agents and other shows. There's three things that directors and casters look for. (I know these have already been mentioned) 1) Be yourself when you go in to meet them, be upbeat, and act like your excited to be there and show them that your about to blow them away. 2) Warm up you articulators (most people skip word endings, such as d in and)that'll really help and work on breathing (breath through your nose for 4secs., then hold for 4secs., then breathe out for 4secs. then hold for 4secs., then repeat). 3) Just put your entire mind, body and sould into your character and you cannot doubt yourself or allow the director to see if your doubting yoursef, be CONFIDENT and GOOD FREAKING LUCK.
