YES! I think it is awful. Black Friday is so much hype! Most of those sales will be run again and again until Christmas. Also, the busiest shopping day of the year is actually December 20! I think it is sad but I guess if someone prefers to stand in line that is their choice.

I don’t think TOO many people did that, probably only a hand full. Some families do Thanksgiving lunch and eat the remaining food for their dinner meal too. But anyhow, not that many people need to actually give up Thanksgiving dinner altogether because people don’t actually start lining up until later at night, or should I say morning, i.e. 12AM or 1AM. For those who DID give up dinner, then those are the real die-hards!

No I think it's stupid.
Why wait in line on Friday when the prices will probably go down before Christmas?
Any idiot that waits in line for 12 hours to save $12 does not have their priorities straight.

Wow, what are we coming to? Wait, were there a lot of non-Americans in line?
No, we're really just that materialistic and hopeless, some of us.
There have been Christmases in Ireland during which an ORANGE was a big gift! No, I wasn't there, but GEEZ!

I didn't. If they were smart they would go to Black Friday on line. You can get it before the stores even open and not have to go stand in line.

It's their time. Whatever they want to do with it is their decision. I, personally, would rather spend the day with my family eating the best meal of the year. Whatever floats your boat. I don't, however, think it is sad. Just what they want to do.
