I agree they shouldnt have fired him. It was a political move likely mandated from big money alumni. He did everything they asked him to do when he arrived but sometimes people in power dont care...they just want their way. Too bad for the U!

N, I don't think it was a good idea, I thought he was a pretty good coach, but who knows? Maybe they'll get an even better coach in there. The same thing happened to Nebraska 3 years ago. They fired a 9-3 season coach and now the whole team is turned around. They're headed to the Big 12 Championship and a possible BCS bowl game!

Yes. Coker only won early in his career with players he inherited from previous coaches. Since then, the once-mighty Hurricanes have fallen off the national radar, and have had more disciplinary problems than wins. Coker had lost control -- it was time for a change.

Yes, they made the right decision. Miami needs to hire a disciplinarian to coach their team. They might need a few Army drill sergeants, as bad off as that team's discipline is.

well when you're team underachieves then somebody has to take the fall unfortunately it was larry coker who took the fall but then again they have regressed every year since he's took over the job
