I have Final Fantasy lV for gameboy. I have to become light instead of dark. In doing so I have to get rid of the dark knight from within me, but how do I defeat him. All he does is repeat 'A true palidan will sheath his sword' or something like that. I am getting frustrated. How do I beat the Dark Knight? Please help!

i've died a few times because i've listened (but i probably did something wrong)

it is possible to actually fight and win, but it's kinda hard. i'm a seasoned player of RPGs, and this particular game is almost my favorite. and i still usually die the first time i attempt this fight.
