When you say you think too much...if you mean thoughts never stop or they move very fast...there are a few mental disorders that could correspond to this...such as Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. There have been many new therapuetic techniques and medications that help to alleviate the symptoms of this. I would say that you need to either speak with your primary care physician or contact you local Community Mental Health Center. Hope this helps.

Hi Charles,

You just sound like me. I have the same habit, i am always thinking aobut my future business, new ideas, studies, festivals, friends, movies always. I am very busy most of the time, and very tired because when you think too much, you feel mentally tired.

I have discovered a good technique, the good ideas you think about i make a note of them in diary so they have come out of my mind in a creative way and it works i dont think about them again if i do i will remind myself it has been written in my diary and my mind will switch off.

I have purchased an MP3 player which i use to listen to music or radio programme, when you listen to music or programme you enjoy the pleasure of listening and that way your mind would not think.

I would like to help you but it will be difficult to show you a technique, your thoughts could be different than mine. The best thing to do is enagage your mind in some pleasurable acitivity instead of thinking all the time. It should work.

Please let me know how you get on.

Rina

sounds like you may be a little bit anxious. Do you worry often, as well? If you are anxious, there are many professionals you can talk to for ways of dealing with this anxiety. Nurses, Doctors, Psychologists, etc. Even if you aren't anxious, try talking to someone about this "thinking too much" before you turn to medication. It will be better in the long run if you learn to overcome this using your own strengths, rather than depending on medication. Hope this helps! :)

Remember that you're thoughts create you're feelings about things, and following up the thoughts is what makes action. So you decide what you do about you're thoughts. The person that is in control is you.

So start by changing the original thoughts. Like, don't tell yourself that you think to much. Just forget about that, and it might go away right there.

Possibly, get more exercise? Get out and get doin, maybe. It's impossible to think to much when you are havin' fun.

Get into projects and hobbies, and stuff at home. That can help. Getting on Yahoo answers like you are doing can help! That is a good outreach.

It's called"spinning" and yes,you will need to address it.

I believe this type of mental process with
hyperactive thinking is perhaps the Brain's way of honing it's abstract analytical skills
by presenting a problem to be solved.

Stay away from Xanex. It's more problems than it's worth.Do some breathing and physical exercise also.Wake up your body.Go out of your mind!Literally!Step
outside of you and look at yourself.

Anything byTimothy Leary is a good read.

Something you could do one your own, without medication, is to find a mind calming activity. Someone mentioned Yoga. But there are other things that would work as well. Meditation, Tai Chi, etc. I wouldn't recommend things like video games or TV - they feed an overactive mind and you need to calm yours.

Most people think too little. Be happy that you're among the elite. Just look at all the stupid questions people ask on this site and questions where they are trying to get someone else to do their thinking for them. I don't think anyone can think "too much," unless you're obsessed with one idea or subject. Then you might need help from a psychoanalyst.

I agree about the medical specialist element. or you are able to try Nixon shampoo and conditioner gadget. that's severe priced, so attempt to locate it on sale in present packs and so on. Regis, commerce secret, and proper Cuts carry it. I have wonderful hair (no longer thinning), so i have been utilising gadget a million. i imagine my hair looks superior now, and it form of sounds like I shed a lot less. I basically bought a gaggle extra at Regis, it replaced into on sale there. I disagree about Dove and infant shampoo. i have grow to be a touch a shampoo snob, yet i really believe it makes a distinction. My sister switched to extra severe priced shampoos too and he or she would not flow again to drugstore producers. The Nixon is really meant to paintings. i ought to provide it a shot. possibly try Rogaine or something else in case you want, it should be a lot less severe priced. i'm no longer particular how that's like styling your hair with it though. Your medical specialist should be able to prescribe something, or can communicate with you about proper foodstuff. Oh... through ways they have hair/pores and skin/nail supplementations. Nixon makes their very personal, yet you are able to get pills from the pharmacy too.

I have not tried it, but I heard Yoga is a wonderful cure for this. In order to be able to master the different poses (don't know the technical term) you must have a clear mind... I need to do this bc I too am a "thinker" (maybe worrier is a better word)

You need to learn to relax and free the mind of thoughts. This can be done with relaxation music. I do it with my favorite movies, TV shows. I can put one in and close my eyes and since I have seen it so many times, I can see the picture in my mind just by hearing the words. This causes me not to think of other things and I relax and fall asleep pretty quickly.
