She is the best female singer and dancer and she is beautiful and sexy!!

With regard to Big Daddy's answer, HOW on earth can You compare Shakira to those "singers"...???? What do you know about her? Do you all know that she WRITES her OWN lyrics, MAKES her own music and PLAYS it, DIRECTS her own videos, and such, unlike all those wannabe musicians you just named... tell me, does your Xtina does ALL that too? Besides you say her voice is irritating??? Do you even know the range capacity of her voice???? Do you know that she's considered a child prodigy... began writing and composing music at the age of eight... she's a part of the United Nations and she created the Pies Descalzos Foundation, a charity that helps to protect children from violence in Colombia among loads of other things... don't want to rant too much. Also if you followed her progress closely over the years you will see that she doesn't dress "vulgar" all the time... it may be good to note that the costume for belly dancing REQUIRES that kind of exposure (lets also remind ourselves that you can't go around calling some one vulgar because of the dress that ones culture/dance requires one to wear)... coming back to the question i think she's one of the rare Maestros to grace our plastic times and she's not POP btw, she's been latino,latino rock,reggaeton,arabic fusion to name a few but not POP. And last but not the least she definitely does NOT "shake" her bum and chest.... GOD don't you know its a form of dance which is considered part of her arabic/lebanese roots..... and its called ... b.e.l.l.y d.a.n.c.i.n.g .... gotit? sheeeeesh

Let's be absolutely honest here. Shakira is the same as Britney, Christina, Madonna and all these other "POP" stars. Shake your bum and chest to some music and they will buy it. If these singers had actual singing voices, except for Christina Aguilara who can ACTUALLY sing, they would'nt have to do all the sexual things they do on videos and sing about in their songs. IT SELLS!
So yes, it has become very irritating and annoying. If they want to keep up, they've got to get down.........

i think she has an original sound. but sometimes her voice sounds a bit nasal. i still like it though. her dancing is all about belly dancing and she does it better than almost anyone, it's kinda repetitive, but still awesome!

she was much better before she went pop, she kicks *** with spanish rock!! her first 2 albums were all rock!! she can play the hell outta an electric guitar!! I think she sold out with the pop. But she can shake her ***!
