You may have to do a little detective work to see why your floors are creaking. The problem is most likely a loose sub floor, and that is what has to be secured. The finished floor is only as solid, stable as the floor it sits on.

The floor boards rub against each other for a variety of reasons. The simplest solution is to sprinkle talcum powder between the boards to lubricate the joint, it prevents the creaking noise.

Try nailing them down where they creak to stop the wood from moving. Then use a punch to sink it below the surface and then fill with putty you can paint or stain to match your floor.

They creak because boards are rubbing against each other and the wood below. You can try some powdered graphite (not liquid) in the seams.

I believe it is the subfloor pulling away from joists. The subfloor is what your flooring is attached to. It can be tricky to find the joists if they are not accessible. Once you've located the joists you can reattach the subfloor with screws, drilling pilot holes first so you don't split your boards, then fill with wood filler after. good luck
Just read MOMMYK232, i wasted my time, just look at that response.
